Once On This Island – Summer 2014

As many of you know, I’m music directing a production of Once On This Island over the summer. All of the audition details can be found at the website for our theater organization: Timothy Murphy Playhouse. Since practically the entire show is sung, you’ll need to prepare sections of two songs. The first night (Monday the 23rd) will also include some dance auditions as well. You don’t need to prepare anything special, just wear something that allows you to move comfortably.

The stage director, Joel Bramer, has a lot of great ideas for bringing the story to life – plus he’s a blast to work with. On top of that, the choreographer – Sarah Clermont – is the greatest choreographer I’ve ever known.  If you need more motivation to get involved, check out these pictures from Greenville’s 2011 production. We’ve got a great team together, and we’re working with great material – all we need now is a cast! I’m sure this summer will be extraordinary, come be a part of it.
